| Kristina Gill has been the editor of In the Kitchen With (ITKW) at DesignSponge.com since October, 2007, where she also styles and photographs more than half of the submissions. The column, which runs every Friday, features an original recipe contributed by well-known food and creative professionals, or one of the site's 160,000 daily readers. Could your favorite recipe be next? Kristina enjoys working with her contributors to turn their favorite recipes into images which will get readers into the kitchen and cooking. Past contributors include Top Chefs Brian Malarkey and Spike Mendelsohn; cookbook authors Gena Knox,Trish Deseine, Clotilde Dusoulier, and Marlena Spieler and designers Jill Bliss, Molly Hatch, and Christiane Lemieux of Dwell Home. No matter how fun working with great food can be, balance with time outside of her little studio is essential. Some of that time Kristina spends on the road using her favorite lens, a 35mm, to capture the spirit of the towns and cities she visits. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Kristina currently lives in Rome, Italy, with her husband and their dog Zizou. She supports United Nations World Food Programme in its fight against hunger. |
